Engine code/ turbo???

Hi all got an opportunity to buy a cheap a3 for breaking, the engine code is AQA... Does anyone know which Turbo unit it would have in it, am looking for the k03s.

Go for the k03s if youve got the pennys dude, will fit even if you have a k03 as standard

I am m8, been looking for one for ages, this written off motor became available cheap, the question was does anyone know if it will have the s on it or will be the standard k03????

From looking at this, it uses a ko3

But then, I'd doesn't actually state any cars having k03s. So can't help.

Apart from turbo code is the same as used on a ARY engine. Maybe some
One can help.

Just looked at the list, and a 98 a3 8l is down as 180hp which would indicate a k03s...... Is that correct????
As a k03 is only 150hp!!

So this turbo had the 5304-123-2018 compressor wheel fitted which is the Unfortunately is the k03 turbo, they get the 180bho by using a stronger actuator.

It isn't the k03s you want.

No dude im afraid not, i always thought 180bhp = ko3s turbo but like bb said they just map it diffrent to get more power :/

Cheers for the info!!! If I can get it cheap enough I might just take it off and keep it until I can get it reconed and upgraded to the s!!!

I thought the 180bhp A3 1.8T was unique to the quattro version?
