Electric window issues

My 2010 sportback has developed temperamental window issues, every now and again the window refuses to go down however if I switch the rear window lock on or off dependent on what it's set too, the window springs into life. Has anyone got any ideas?

My car has done this a few times where the drivers window doesn't seem to work.
The times it's done it I usually just hold the up button for 10 seconds to reset the window and its fine afterwards.
I've only had this after the battery's been disconnected even after initial programming.
As I say when I do the 10 second hold it doesn't happen anymore.
Worth a try.
