Electric Door mirrors intermittent fault?

Hi guys,

i recently bought a 2009 audi s3. After a week or so when i flicked the switch (on the inside of drivers side door) to fold in the mirrors it didnt work. The heated mirrors feature also doesnt work. But after turning it a few times they folded in.. Its just strange why it never really works but once in a blue moon it seems to work?

Can anyone explain how i could resolve this please?

Okay thanks. By connector, do you mean the connector on the door hinge?

i cant find anything on these faults?

Vag-Com. My mate did it a few days ago. Hang on i'll find out what version

He said its version 12.12.0

im not gona list them all but thats about it

Possible Causes

• Wiring/Connectors from/to Heated Exterior Mirror Driver Side (Z4) faulty
• Heated Exterior Mirror Driver Side (Z4) faulty

so wireing fault in the rubber boot between door and car or plug problem
