EGR Valve oil leak?

I recently had my A4 B8 2.0 TDI serviced one of the advisory from the garage was they found an oil leak from my EGR Valve. The mechanic did say to me that its nothing at all to worry about that it might just be old oil. But for a few days know its really been bugging me and will like to have thoughts about it from other B8 owners if they have experienced any oil near the EGR Valve before?

Like you one day I was checking the oil level, removed the engine cover and saw a small leak on the egr.

Took it straight to my mechanic and he said they all do it ,that was last year I keep an eye on it and its fine.

My buddy who has a b8 as well but well over 230k km on his was not so lucky had a big leak replaced the gasket but no good had to replace the egr valve
