EGR Delete for a 140 BLB B7

Got the EGR cooler leaking on my car. No warning lights yet but thinking of deleting the EGR system.

1st question, what effect if any, will it have come the emissions test on the MOT.

2nd, anybody know of anyone who can fit the blanking kit and do the remap in the Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey area.

Initial research seems to be a cheaper option than replacing the EGR cooler at £300 ish.

Remember you need it mapped out aswell if you fit the blanking kit as it will throw an engine management light.

The whole idea of the egr is to reduce emissions so it'll have an effect of increasing the emissions but I would seriously doubt it would cause a fail.

Mot is a simple smoke opacity test only.
