EGR Blanking Plate

What would happen if I blanked my EGR without remapping? Would I just get a warning light? Audi A3 2006 1.9tdi. Thanks.

Yes, but a blanking plate with a hole won't throw an eml.

Not necessary!
You can leave it there but it obstructs the air going trough.

How big does this hole have to be? Looking to do mine soon and I've got the plate already and doesnt have a hole yet so thinking to drill in a small hole? does it have to be a big enough or can it be however small?

Most are 10mm.
