Fitted an EGR blanking plate to my 2.0 tdi today.
Fitted it as a precaution really as don't have any egr problems. Just hoping to reduce the soot being sucked into the engine!
Got it from eBay for a few pounds, took about a minute to fit. Quality little plate, got the one with the hole!
Only done a few miles in it so far so can't really say it feels any different except the tick over is definitely smoother.
I tried to reduce the egr on vac com without any success, anyone managed it on a 2005?
