Econ light problem

I recently gave the car a good clean inside and out since then i have noticed that when i start the car the Econ light on the climate control panel comes on on its own and if i try to switch it off it just stays on . The odd occasion it doesnt come on and you can press the button it lights up press again and it switches off . Now the air con doesnt work i thought it needed re gassed but when i took it to get done they tested the system and said it seems to be blocked as the pressure on the gauge just stayed where it was (pretty high) not sure where to start with this as vagcom doesnt show any errors

Sounds like a duff compressor if a regas did not work.

Has it been plugged into diagnostics

I have the exact same problem at the moment, been fine the whole time I've owned it and then started doing it midway through last week a few days after I had it remapped (probably just coincidence though as it was working fine directly after the mapping)

I had this on mine when I first got the car, econ button on and would not go off. New compressor time from audi and a big bill
