Especially with the summer temperatures, my AC even on low isn’t especially cold and the ECON light doesn’t turn off. Any advice? The compressor is working thinking it might just need a re-gas?

I know the facelift models have an ‘AC’ button instead but facelift have a complete different AC system. So any vehicles 2003-2007.

Hiya bud sounds like it’s time for a regas. If there’s not enough gas in there it’ll keep it in econ to save the compressor. Though if you wanna be sure and have access to a reader. It’ll throw a code like refrigerant pressure too low etc

Hope this helps

Check the g65 sensor, it's common to go given your age of car.

Too be fair it’s worth reading it out with a scanner if you can. G65 is common but also can be dicey if it’s failed and you just unplug it. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve seen a G65 dump it’s gas when disconnected.

Not had one dump gas when unscrewed, so I'm surprised to hear that, but hey nothings impossible, sometimes it doesn't show in diagnostics, but it's a cheap one to try, slightly awkward to change, just fiddly location.
