E10 fuel

Been reading up on the e10 stuff. It’s meant to be cheaper at the pumps as economy goes down but haven’t seen the prices lower if anything the local Tesco has increased their prices since they introduced e10.

Anyone got any info on compatibility for older cars ? Is my v8 going to be able to run on this stuff ?

I'm wondering if this new E10 fuel will have an impact on "Super" fuels also... Maybe more demand as people are scared of using the E10. If people are getting less miles to a tank of E10 for the same cost as old E5, maybe its worth a recalculation of MPG against 98/99ron...

Is your car on that list?

Nope, just outside but its not over keen on it either, I'm just using E5 only now.

looks like i'll be using e5 super fandango in all my petrol garden equipment then, it's most certainly not e10 friendly.

The price of E5 super unleaded / VPower is increasing disproportionately so I seriously doubt it would offset the drop in fuel economy with E10.

Difference today between normal 95/E10 and VPower was > 20p/litre. Unless your car needs 98 RON there is no way the economy of increased RON offsets this price premium. This is getting ridiculous.....

Someone is taking the pi$$! V Power unleaded is now £1.69 at my local Shell. I can't run my bikes on E10 due to their age. Damned ecomentalist tossers!
