Dynamic turn signals oddity.....

Hi, wondering if somebody can help with my misbehaving turn signals...
I have a 2016 A7 3.0 TDi Quattro with Matrix headlights. The turn signals will sometimes sweep and then ramdomly they will switch to a solid blink for several weeks.
Any idea why this is?
