If you search around you'll probably find pro's and con's to both.. depends on a few things - how much you plan on tuning it and how you drive it I guess?..

alot of people do the single mass conversion, usually helps with the torque increase from remapping!
do a search for g60 flywheel, and vr6 clutch.

Yes mate you should get the kit alot cheaper than £400+. Go with the g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch as suggested as these are all original OEM parts, or carspares and gsf and eurocarparts all do an aftermarket alternative.

Ive recently had a Valeo clutch and solid flywheel kit fitted for £456 parts, labour and recovery. think the Clutch and flywheel came in at £220

Sorry to jump in, How would the car drive with a SMFas opposed to a DMF?

i carnt find a cheaper single mass flywheel kit for less than 400 though its a tdi 130

ebay........ they do both the sachs kit and also a LUK version, just type in g60 flywheel and the should come up!

Tdi 130 will be a 6 speed box so the g60 flywheel/vr6 clutch will not work. IMHO get a new Sachs/luk clutch and dual mass flywheel, they work well on the 6 speed box anyway.
