I fitted the DTUK Pedalbox+ on Friday and wanted to share my opinion of the device. I found that with the stock car that there was lag when pulling away and believe it or not found the car a bit gutless until 2k revs then it’s quick (dynamic is fine as it’s at 2k revs minimum at higher gears). It caught me out a few times when I was pulling out of junctions and I wanted a quicker response. I thought it might be due to turbo lag or tuning for emissions low down the rev range. Infernox mentioned the pedalbox to me on this forum and that it resolved the lag issue as it’s the way the accelerator pedal is setup on a lot of VAG cars. Reading various reviews for S3s confirmed this so I thought I bite the bullit and give it a shot on the RS3. It’s now much more responsive and you can choose how much sensitivity you would like to match your driving style on the fly. It’s changed the car for me as I found the lag really annoying. I am also into motorbikes and having a laggy throttle can ruin a great bike as it’s your connection with it and I found the car a bit like that to some degree. Im really impressed with this products build quality, ease of install (takes 10 minutes max) and simplicity of operation. It’s really changed the throttle response which is exactly what I wanted - highly recommended!
