SQ5 DTC fault appeared on dash with DTC light lit (fault codes attached)

Hi all,

Got into car from work this evening, started car, jumped out for 1 minute and got back in to see DTC fault message on dash with DTC light lit. Turned car off and on and light cleared.

Got 15 mile/30mins down road and same lights came on again. Switch off and on resolved.

Anyone had this or know of any common fault which causes this before you read below? Car is a 2015 SQ5 TDI.


Ran VCDS fault reader when got home and have several faults including;

01-Engine -- Status: Malfunction 0010
03-ABS Brakes -- Status: Malfunction 0010
13-Auto Dist. Reg -- Status: Malfunction 0010
16-Steering wheel -- Status: Malfunction 0010
5C-Lane Maintain. -- Status: Malfunction 0010



with the majority of these referencing this particular fault code - 00778 Steering Angle Sensor (G85);
