Drivers window won't go down

Hello all
On my b6 My drivers window doesn't go down , you can hear the motor working correctly but the window seems to be stuck ?
It's never been an issue until I pulled up at a drive through mcds

Is this a common fault with easy solution ?

Yea, avoid McDonald's. You'll probably find the lift cable mechanism to be the culprit. Avoid the eBay cheap ones I'm told. Common problem.

Replaced the regulator in mine last year. From memory it cost around £60 from GSF in Shrewsbury. Not a difficult job just make sure you study a few guides before tackling it, this will avoid undoing unnecessary bolts etc.
