Drivers Seat Not Working and Missing Fuses?!

I noticed yesterday that the main electric controls for my drivers seat aren’t working, however the lumbar is still operating as it should. I checked the manual and both have their own fuse, so this was my first port of call. When I opened the cover, it appears that most of the fuses are missing, including ones for things they are actually working?!

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Also, any other ideas why the electric seat may have failed? I expect there’s not a lot of room to check wiring below.

Check if the empty fuse points have a pin in each fuse leg as such, if not then theyre unused fuse locations.

Ideally after fuse checks, a meter or diagnostics.

    Whereabouts are you based?

    In Belfast.

I’ll check the fuse legs later, cheers. Is it not weird there’s loads missing for things I do have but, which are all working?!

Checked under the seat there and couldn’t feel/see any loose plugs.

Right, there’s only 1 pin in each of the fuse kegs which are empty. My car has electric seats for example, so where on earth js the fuse?!

Could be thermal fuse in footwell outside edge behind trim.

Literally just read about thermal fuses.

Any way to identify which would do the seat?

    Also have this code;

Seems no power to the module, hence no seat electrics.

You'll have to check fuses visually.

I'm trawling through schematics for a Q7 job atm so I can't help currently.

No problem at all, I’m in no real panic. I appreciate your help thus far!

I’ll hve a google and see if I can find the thermal fuse box in the interim.

Check right side trim of footwell, thats whwre some seat thermal fuses reside on some chassis.

Cheers. Looks like an absolute nightmare removing that trim behind the bonnet release, so will look at it when I get back from holiday.

The only other thing is I spotted on the book there’s a fuse for electric seats in the boot too. I’ll have a look in there on the off chance it’s the culprit.

Without checking your chassis codes it could be front, back, etc.

Would I be wasting my time pulling out all the normal fuses and checking every single 1?! Could it be linked to another component?
