Recently my OSF (driver) door is unlocking intermittently on the key fob, mostly it does not work. I'm still able to unlock with the key. Pressing the interior unlock button has the same problem as the key fob. Strangely/thankfully I can open the door from inside. The other doors all unlock/lock as normal. I've greased the catch mechanism but it has had no effect on the actuation of the lock. My thoughts are that the problem lies either with the wiring or the lock actuator. I've had a quick visual glance at the wiring around the A pillar and cannot see any breaks or fraying there. My next step is going to be taking the door card off and pulling the window out. Before I do this I would like to have a spare lock actuator on hand but am unsure of the part number. Is 4E2837016 correct? I've seen some parts with letters after e.g. 4E2837016AA and 4E2837016G. Would they also fit? I did ask my local Audi dealer if they could tell me the part number but they sadly refused to provide the information.

Here is the relevant VCDS information from a scan yesterday. Additionally after attempting to unlock/lock several times in quick succession the central locking stopped working. It appears to have a thermal cut out which was triggered which is mentioned below. I don't necessarily think this is a fault at the moment.

4E2837016 I think is for 3 door cars. Link
Yours is a sportback so 5 doors.
Check this link.
You should probably go for 4F2837016 or 4F2837016B if you have a RHD and is a 2006 car.

Thank you for the link. Site bookmarked! That is a really useful site to know and has just the information I was asking the dealer for.

Advised door lock purchased and installed after an hour of play. Thanks for the correction on the part number, much appreciated. The door lock was quite easy to install compared to a handle I worked on the previous day - no need to take the window out.
