My drivers door won't unlock with the remote and have to use the remote to open the window and open the door from the inside. I can hear the door mechanism work when i press the remote but it does not unlock. I have used Carista to see if there is any error codes but nothing comes up.

Has anyone had this problem before and fixed it your help is needed please?

    yes,
try: (opening the door) while pulling on the inside door handle, pull the outside door handle
you might need to do this a number of times.

Had this last week, drivers door would open via handle inside but not from outside.
Found out it was the Bowden cable which is attached to the exterior door handle.
I removed the door card, checked the cable was still attached which it was, sprayed with grease
    and it worked again.
I've heard this is a common problem, sometimes the temperature can effect the cable, plus they
    can get worn.
    Hope this helps.

    to break my comment down:
    - open the door
    - with your left hand hold the interior door handle open
    - with your right hand pull and release the exterior door handle a number of times

    This is some... Meeh....

Ts take the doorside of and check the wiring, and the lock mechanism. Decrease and reapply with a lubricant.

I had the same issue a month ago. The real fix is to remove the inner trim and get the lock unit out. Remove the plastic cover to expose two small DC motors inside. One of them moves the lock to the locked position, the other one unlocks it. Take the motors out and try connecting them to a 12V source. One of them will not spin. Disassemble that motor, and clean all mating contact surfaces with fine sandpaper and contact cleaner. Test it again, if all is good, reassemble.
    This video shows it:

If you don't feel like opening the lock unit, you can buy an aftermarket replacement for 50€ or an OEM one for €200, but contact cleaner is cheaper ;)

I did this a couple of weeks back, worked a charm and I felt like a DIY super hero.
