A6 Avant (C6) 3ltr TDI Quattro Le Mans
Howdy y'all.
So the other week, I noticed my drivers door has dropped. Now, I didn't notice this upon purchase and I went over the machine with a fine tooth comb to try and knock the guy down as much as I could...which was hard as I was lucky that it really is mint throughout....
So, here's the question - Has anyone adjusted their doors? Its dropped approx. 3-5mm and it its catching the clasp and catch mechanism, chewing the door catch and marking the clasp. It visibly lifts into place when you watch it being closed however, upon inspection, and moving the door (lifting and lowering by hand), there is no play at all, in fact, I'm lifting and lowering the whole car (obviously not much, due to the fact I'm not The Hulk), with the door. There appears to have been no previous adjustments as all paint work is intact and grubby.
It's really doing my nut in, but before I go to a garage, I'd like to see if its doable. YouTube isn't really throwing me any bones...so ask on here I have!
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
