Hey A..., pair of chrome mirrors for £50 !!!!!!!! Wasn't a deal in the back of the pub was it When your down my way, you must pop round or I'll pop round to have look at your very handy work.
Got it from eBay mate have not seen them for sale anywhere to tell the truth, think its from the states
cheers mate you done anything to yours since i popped up ? i also just bought your sub box and amp from the classifieds will pop up this week some time
lol was an other ebay bargain Good to see you the other day and thanks for the sensor. I fitted it and all seems ok at the moment no fault light yet so will see how it goes over the next couple of weeks and i will be in contact as the fault used to go off for that long sometimes then come back
A little update fitted a new Longitudinal sensor as i had an on a off a fault with the abs and esp light coming on so hopefully this is sorted seem all good at the moment big thanks to thegoal007 for the new sensor will sort you out when i see you my Longitudinal sensor is behind the glove box [h=3][/h] also took on the wishbone bushes today 1 side was not that bad and looked like had been replaced in the past but he other side was terrible and was knocking all over the place really needed doing just fell apart new bushes and ball joints took them down to my local garage to get them pressed in as i could not get them in and one would not come out and they had to use the good old heat and fire so got everthing on gave them a quck clean and spray paint the car feel so much better now and no knocking noise going to sort out the rear rose bushes and tierods next then get the tracking done aswell dre
fitted the TT pedals and picked up Andy Mac stealth Sub from S3Steve , i should of bought Steves car as i have had half the things that were on it lol, my Brembo juniors and BBS ch s were from the same car to just waiting on some rear speakers and some dynamat to come then i can fit everything
Went for Focal 165CA1 speakers what you recommended for £55 new, was the best speaker for that price to with all the reviews I read through
That seems like a really good price mate, im sure they were considerably more than that when i got mine. You wont be dissapointed with them mate
Yeah most places are still selling them for around £80 they were a lot more when you got them a few years back though. A few newer models since then have taken over these speakers from what I have read so prob old stock now looking forward to nice sound system
Got my rear speakers and started installing the sound system today only had a couple of hours before it got dack hopefully finish it tomo it does take some time ripping the car to bits lol my focal rear speakers took the alarm out as i was getting some beeping sounds some times and it looks like the batterys have leaked inside. I have a better aftermaket alarm so no need for this and is saves me stripping the back end to pull it out when they start going mental Dynamat around the sub can see where the alarm leaked nwe sub in rear speaker fitted to panel on passenger side will crack on with the rest tomo to dark now
nice work dre its really cmon leaps and bounds be good to see ya at ace hopefully il join the s3 clan soon
lol yeah mate was at ace a couple of months ago but hardly anyone was there lol you going to the next one be good to catch up So you decided on getting an s3 lol what colour you going for ?
Got a bit more done today ran the power lead and wierd and fitted the amp, the amp is all set up from when S3Steve had it for the exact same set up so im not messing around with it, it sounded good with just the front speakers and the sub even at high level so its set up well will finish it off tomo i have ordered front door speakers to but going to do them next week some time dre
just spoke to an old mate i used to work for in a garage and he is letting me use the 4 poster ramp on saturday to do my DP should be alot easier for me then on my drive, got everything i need from TPS the other day also a few tools to help me, so wish me luck hope its not to much of a mission
got the sound system finished today still got to do the fronts but will leave that for another day, still sounds great though very impressed nice punchy bass and clear sound and nothing like smack my ***** up by Prodigy to test the speakers gonna get some sleep and get up in the morn and fit the DP that i have been putting off for months hopefully not to much of job to do dre
Well what a day took me about 6 hours to fit the 3" dp not an easy job to do but glad its done and out off the way so glad i had a ramp to work on. The car does feel better, pulls well and sounds great to nice tone just what the car needed. Just the FMIC and to sort out my rear tierods and rose bushes then i might think about booking it in with Bill at Badger 5 for a tune up a few pictures of todays mission cut the cats off first and took of the turbo charge pipe from the top then took the rest of the system off then spent a good hour hacking away at the old DP at the flexi bottom half of dp off then the top half new gasket on all fitted with 200 cell sports cat just came back from a 70 mile drive an all is ok so time for a beer and rest as i need it dre
changed my temp sender today i got from TPS last week as i have been getting strange temp readings lately on the dash hopefully sorts it if not i will change the thermostat to. I also put my 17" s on the car and put the 18" BBS away for the winter months really prefer my 18"s but saves me on rubber to old sender and seal out new one in now on 17" s again, really need to give the car a clean soon looking at that picture dre
Cheers SK the car is nearly done just ordered some power flex rear tralling arm bushes to do when I do the rose bushes and tie rods going to do them soon as the creaking has got worse lately
Managed to finish the sound system today and it all sounds spot on miles better then the original system. my adapters 13cm speakers tweeters and crossovers also got my trailing arm bushes so can crack on with the rear end soon dre
manage to take the S3 to my mates garage and he let me give it a tracking it really needed doing as the steering wheel was off center and it was pulling to left since sorting out my wishbone bushes all sorted now though also got myself a camber gauge to check how much my camber is out on the reas since lowering the s3 drivers side was between 1.5 and 2 deg negative camber and so was the otherside was thinking in getting these instead of adjustable tie rods but im not sure as i have brand new tie rods and rose bushes to fit on Audi S3 & Quattro (99-04) 'Camber Adjust' Rear Arm/Tie Bar Upper Inner Bush Kit | eBay
little update manage to give the car a wash and wax as it really needed it and i also got some super pro camber adjust tie rod bushes and fitted them to the top tie rods as i am going to do the rear tie rods, rose bushes and rear trailing arm bushes as soon as i can after a good clean rear tie rods these will be fitted to the top also got a new thermostat and some front diff and gearbox oil to change will update as i get things done dre
Just got myself a intercooler only cost £85 and works out about £180 with all the pipe work so happy days. I was going to go for a AH v2 but I don't have the money and don't think I need anything that big for my needs even looked in to getting a wellycooler but again to big and looks a mission to fit the bumper and keep the fogs. So after hours off reading and searching the web this is the size of the intercooler I got 69cm Wide End To End 23cm High 6.5cm Thick 63mm (2.5") Pipe Inlets/Outlets And has 6 x Mounting Holes Standard - M8 Thread its rated at 400bhp will post up all the goodies when I get them through the post
i have not fitted them yet mate still got to get my rose bushes done before fitting these, hopefully within the next week or 2
I got my intercooler today plus the rest of the pipe work so got everything i need now and looks big enough for my needs :icon_thumright: specs again 69cm Wide End To End 23cm High 6.5cm Thick 63mm (2.5") Pipe Inlets/Outlets And has 4 x Mounting Holes Standard - M8 Thread its rated at 400bhp so once all my rear end is done with all the bushes i will fit this fmic then think about getting her mapped end of march aprill time dre
finaly got round to changing the thermostat and front diff and gearbox oil change new themostat new thermostat and rubber seal fitted tooped up with some G12 and at last i am reaching the right temp never really reached 90 before and as for the gear changes feels so much smoother after the oil change also drained the bevel box, took 3 bottles so had one left so roughly 3 liters it took also my car is booked in to have all this changed as i cant be bothered to flaf around in the cold on my drive so my car should feel complete when all this is done as its the last of the bushes to change and whole car is done R32 19mm rear arb and super pro bushes 4 new tie rods 1 set with camber adjust super pro bushes 4 new rose bushes and new bolts power flex trailing arm bushes and having new wheel bearings done aswell so the whole rear end will be new will update when all is fitted dre
