Hi group,.
Can anyone shed light on this problem?

started DPF light came on, regen on several occasions with no drama.....
Coil light came on and now car in Limp mode.

I have changed the manifold flaps (both banks) one was broken......
I have changed G450 DPF sensor...... still same limp mode
Code errors are 5188 & 5199 as before

So my Question is....... When you change G450 sensor do you have to re program cpu or should it just be a straight swap?

Also if I disconnect both hoses from G450 will the car come out of Limp mode?

Any help would be so much appreciated

Sounds like your dpf is blocked to the point where a re gen no longer works. The pressure sensor sounds like its doing its job and reporting this.

When you change the DPF sensor you don't need to reprogram the ECU. I don't recognise those fault code nembers are they correct ?. Are they off VCDS ?.
If it is in limp mode disconnecting the pipes from the G450 won't make any difference. The car will be confused and think the sensor is faulty as it would expect a certain pressure to be seen when the car is driving. Also the one pipe that connects to the DPF would be blowing exhaust gas down it all the time and the rubber part on the end is likely to get burnt.
Quite often if the DPF pressure sensor has had an issue the regenerations may not have been completed correctly so the DPF gets clogged.
