Door light Switch Fault 1997 A8

Hi, Can anyone tell me where the door light switches are located?? My nearside door does not operate the interior light when opened and i cannot seem to find the switch as i'm sure it must only be a case of replacing a faulty switch.

It is indeed part of the lock mechanism and they are very prone to this fault.

They often get clogged up with grease when people lubricate the locks.
It is often possible to fix without changing the lock if you use some electrical solvent and give the micro-switch a good clean.
