I was after some general advice on assessing and potentially fixing a damaged door. Unfortunately someone drove through the drivers door while it was parked up, bending it backwards enough to damage the front wing, and the door had dropped significantly so wasn't closeable afterwards. The car's an S3 8l and could be a write off if the chassis is damaged I suppose, but I was wondering where the weak point is likely to be. Perhaps replacing the hinges, door and wing would be relatively straightforward. Thanks for any experience or advice on what to look for.
