Door adjustment - worth risking?

Hi,
Since I'm not 100% satisfied with the sound insulation in my A4, I'm thinking if it would make sense to slightly adjust the door on the striker, to make it close tighter. I noticed that if I push the door tighter to the seals - it gets a bit quieter in the car.

Does anybody have any experience with that, is it worth trying on a brand new car or it can make things worse?

I don't plan to do it myself - if anything then I will have it done at a service. I'm just afraid that they will adjust it just to get rid of me and it would create other problems - Like the door panels will not flush with each other or some annoying wind noise will occur...
