Hi all, Im after a bit of advice please:think:,, the last few days i have noticed, that somedays mycar feels sluggish, and the turbo sounds not as loud,

then other days feels quicker and the turbo is louder? this is during the day not the night, as i know its quicker when cooler air,

And sometimes when going slowly on the throttle get a tiny bit lumpy boost, not a misfire or anything but a bit lumpy? does this sond like a Maf probelm?

Can any1 point me in the direction of a vag com cable theat would work with a AMK S3 and a sony laptop? as i would like one now as i would like to check mycar,

Im going to get a speacialist to take a look, but can not be for a couple weeks, due to working alot, is there any way to check this my self? i heard of unplugging the MAF?, can this cause any problems at all? and will it turn on any lights on dash etc? and if i unplugged it what will happen? cheers Oski

Ps if any 1 is in Essex near chelmsford, this weekendand has vagcom, i would happily pay them to check my car? thanks

I un-plugged my MAF the other week - I've been suffering from lumpy boost as well.

It made no difference to the performance (proving it's not MAF related) but I thought this was weird, as I thought you would at least see reduced, yet smooth, performance?!

I did get a warning light on the dash - the ESP ( ! within a triangle, with an arrow circling around in an anti-clockwise direction) which again I thought was weird. Switched the car off, plugged the MAF back in, turned on and it was gone.

VAG-COM on mine is showing a misfire on cylinder 1 - so I'll be changing the coil pack to see if that fixes it - I'm just driving like miss daisy at the mo!!

Bit off topic lol but whos that kid on here who can get cheap audi parts?
