I think it means the test is way harder than when I sat mine.... Not sure I would pass the latest version if I sat it tomorrow to be fair .

Wolverhampton test centre is in a right sh1t place. And then have to contend with the cities ring road and super busy A roads too!

I did my test at Cannock centre out in the sticks in 2003 even tho i lived on the out skirts of Wolverhampton at the time.

However, in reply to the thread title, yes driving standards in the midlands are generally dire.

Isn't it where most of these 'S3 driver kills children in street racing incident' type things happen?

Well, to give some insight in january 2018 i had my driving test at Leicester (Cannock Street) and passed first time with 2 minors. however some one in my six form had 7 tries at driving test before he passed. On the 6 failures he always get serious faults. he's since passing he's crashed about 3-4 times
So its not just Birmingham drivers you have to watch out for.

I live in Birmingham and have heard certain test centers are near impossible to pass at, taxi drivers also tend to pass in Wolvo to work here.

I passed in Birmingham :sunglasses:

Yep. There are particular roads in the area that are well known spots for racing. Both day & night.

I did my test in Cannock an past first time (at 17 yrs old). Not even sure the toll road existed at that point either...
