Hey guys been thinking about this for a while now, who has done some DIY cabin struts or undercarrage. I want to get the chassis a little more stiffer with out having to do a roll cage as its a daily car ( as much as I would love to have a cage)

If anyone has them could you post some pics please!
Thanks guys

Never really seen people do too much with this sort of thing over this side. Compared to any of the 3 Hondas i`ve owned where you could buy more internal and external braces than you`ve had hot dinners. Front strut, rear strut, various styles of boot floor to rear strut to C pillar braces, C pillar, C pillar linked to B pillar upper, lower B pillar that goes over the tunnel at the back of the center console, Rear subframe, front subframe, front wing brace...the list goes on lol.

I made a few braces on the A4 prior to the S3 and made a bit of difference to stiffening it up. Sadly i cant put rear ones in the S3 but im sure you can in the A3`s but never seen an off the shelf item.

I know you can buy them for the Fabias/Ibiza`s though.

Yeah mate seen them on plenty hondas to that's where the idea was coming from? Maybe the audis are more rigid then the honda?
But I figured here would have more ideas

Just less of a market tbh. Found that swapping between cars over the years. Depending on the car and how big the market is for it dictates the amount of mods companies develope. Like When i had my Yaris Tsport there wasnt a huge amount out there without importing specialist bits from Japan. Then when i got my EK4 Civic i was amazed at the sheer quantity of bits available because it was a common car to mod. Went across to the A4 and there wasnt a huge amount, back to an EP3 and there was loads again.

Seems Jap cars seem to have nuts and bolts much more visable and easily accessed to just undo, slap a bar on and bolt back up haha.

could fit a TT roadster subframe with additional braces but you'd need to weld some lugs to the chassis rails to bolt it to.

If you are talking about rear strut braces, the 4wd 8L chassis doesn't require one, as the rear floor pan ends up so high up the rear strut towers, it is essentially part of the chassis.

Never heard of partial bracing going from different pillars to different pillars, mimicking a roll cage.

Mine is a A3

Iv seen it done on the SEATs, MK4 and on honda EK9s

My ek9 and ek4 looked like scaffold storage shop inside, well...... shiny scaffold that is! Made a good difference coming to sliding around corners.

In the Audi I believe the only way to do it is with a cage but as a daily there are other options that will almost equal the stiffer feel near as dammit, decent lightweight racing alloys wide with some low pro Goodyear eagles f1 on, Low and hard coil overs as stiff as you can get them , adjustable rear tie bars (if available on a3) and for extra lolz 45psi in the tyres :)

Fit solid subframe bushes and rose joint everything but will be very harsh

The A3/S3 don't really need much to stiffer it up unless you fit a full cage or put viagra in the fuel tank
