Display blank? A6 c7

Hi guys... anyone had this? Any idea what I'll need to fix? It's the middle of the speedo and rev meter. Screen is on but blank.

I have VAGCOM / VCDS.

Are you getting any fault codes on the cluster?

Haven't scanned it yet

Scan it first, see if there any fault codes. If not then pull the fuse for the cluster, could just be a software glitch.

Will do. Haven't got a fuse map anymore which might make that a little hard. Any risk removing the battery connectors?

That will do the same thing, the fuses should be listed in the manual. If you disconnect the battery you may get the ABS light on until you drive the car and turn a few corners.

My old mini had a display that faulted when it was ice cold.
Not saying that's the cause but could be an idea
