On my 03 plate SE, whenever I get a message up, ie brake light out, it's in German for some reason. My local independent couldn't reset it with his fancy laptop gizmos, and thinks it may be able to be done using the car's own buttons. Can anyone help with this? "Bremslicht recht" may be authentic on an Audi, but gets a wee bit annoying!

Your instruments have been coded incorrectly.

I reckon the coding is xx0x1 (for Germany) but they should be xx4x1 (for UK).

Anyone with VAG-COM should be able to check and sort it for you.
