Oh well it had to happen some time!

Luckily I purchased alloy wheel insurance, however they have told me they can't repair the damage so have offered me up to £85 reimbursement to find someone who can repair the wheel.

I've rang a few places in Leicester and getting varying prices from £50 per a wheel for an apparent full refurbishment to £130 for a full refurb.

Here is what I've found out so far

1) Speedy Wheels -£90 per a wheel, will take up to 5 working days, they will fit a replacement wheel. Repair not done in house.

2) The wheel specialist Leicester - £130 all done in house will need to leave the car 2-3 days approx

3) Perfection Alloys Hinckley - £80 will need to drop the car in the morning and collect in the evening. (All done in house)

4) Fix My Alloys Ltd Loughborough - £50 will collect and drop car ( All done in house)

I would like to go with the wheel specialist as they have some great reviews but I don't really want to leave my car there for 3 days. I am going to pop down tomorrow to see if they can repair the wheel in a day.

So far speedy wheels seems the most convenient but unsure of the finish, fix my alloys seems to have some really bad reviews.

I am also just waiting for Audi Leicester to get back to me so will update with the results!

Prestine wheels in Milton Keynes will be able to do that they offer a carriage collection as well

@desi112 Can you not put on the spare and just leave the wheel with them as you don’t want to leave the car.

That’s what I did for a place in Northampton. They actually straightened the wheel out after hitting an almightly pothole.

Thanks for the replies everyone, yes I could take the wheel off and use the spare...

I have spoken to the following Audi Garages

Audi Leicester - rang 3 times and have not rang me back

Audi Nottingham - advised they don't do diamond cut alloy wheel refurbishment and said they couldn't help

Audi Derby - advised they get the wheels outsourced and would give me a courtesy car quoted £130, earliest date they have is middle of nov

Audi Tamworth - advised they get the wheels outsourced and would give me a courtesy car quoted £130 , earliest date they have is end of nov

I did speak to Prestine wheels in Milton Keynes and they advised they are fully booked until end of Nov and I would have to remove the wheel and post it to them.

I've decided to go with Speedy Wheels Leicester as it's the least hassle for me and there reviews seem okay!

I'll post pics and a review once the job is done.

Thanks everyone
