Detailing Complete but ran out of daylight.

I detailed my car today it took all day...! Its the first time been done and is 6 years old so you can imagine what it was like. I managed to get one coat of polish on before calling it a day.

I like to put two coats of wax on but previously managed to do aall in one day.

My question is tomorrow before wax...

Wash car before wax?

Wash car do another polish then two wax?

Or...? Welcome your thoughts.

It's supposed to rain tonight as well.

Others will add their more expert knowledge, but I would suggest a quick wash this morning and then straight into getting a couple of coats of wax onto it.

I take it you used iron remover, Tar remover and then Clayed the body work after cleaning it?

No, is that the key? That would have speed up process....

Yes. The panels need to be smooth and free from contamination. It will make life easier when applying the wax and bond better

Yeah you have to decontaminate the surface before applying any polish or wax. As above said, fall out remover, tar remover, clay bar, then a full safe wash before polish and wax.
