decat lambda spacer??

hi all,
gonna go down the 3" downpipe and decat, but ive read somewhere you need a lambda sensor spacer?? could somebody please explain why iits needed and where i can get one please. im assuming its due to the increased flow of gas.

I think it's only needed if you have 2 lambda sensors, it is put on the second one to move it out of the exhaust gas flow to try to trick it into thinking the cat is still there and working

as above. you only need a spacer if you got 2 lambda sensors. normally car post 2000 are 2 lambdas due to emissions
ebay is the place to buy them about a tenner

Do you know sizes of thread etc required as I've seen L shape ones and straight ones. Only a few came up on eBay, and they all Seemed to be M18 thread.
