Happening a few times now, soon as i start the times this light comes on (!) in red followed by 3 beeps then goes stright off.. Anyone got any ideas? Everything under the bonnet appears to be okay fluids ect..

That's a serious fault in the brake system. Best get it on VCDS for a scan and up on a ramp to have a look at the brake lines etc.
i have a copy of vag com. not throwing anything up and it doesnt stay on, comes on then goes straight off :/

Get your battery tested. I had this on my 3.2 and it was my battery might not be the case here but it's a starting point.
i had this but i had the abs light and traction control light also, basicaly the abs unit was not talking to the ecu so the two are turned off, it was just a brake in the wire in the loom in the engine bay, i did take it to audi tho to fix as i still had warranty, cost an hours labor of 100 quid then claimed it back,
will have to dig a little deeper tomorrow, will check battery and abs plug connection. I dont have traction controll though
