Hi, I got 2 rear tyre's changed in May of this year, at a well know garage chain. I was hoovering out the car today and noticed a big hump behind the drivers seat, which I thought was the carpet coming off. When I pressed it, it was solid, so I looked under the car and found that the floor pan and part of the outrigger squashed in and the fuel securing clip broken. When I took the car to this garage, I told the fitter that the car must not be jacked up along the seal area, but on the rear beam. I now understand why he told me that the fuel filter was hanging off, because he had jacked it up in this area and damaged the floor. I am taking my car to the body shop on Friday, but not sure if they can repair it. Once I have the estimate, I will then confront the garage. Has anyone else had an issue like this/ If not check the under side after tyre's are changed.
