I've got a damaged damper that needs replacing and I've been toying with just getting a complete overhaul of the suspension inc bushes too as the car is rough as **** to ride these days - I remember when I first got it how smooth it was.

The car has 140k+ miles on the clock - so it is wearing out!

Just looking for reccomendations for the cheapest but still good quality dampers and springs to replace. I would quite like the best stability but smooth ride.

I've got a 2006 A3 8P2 2.0TDi Quattro Sport - not particularly looking to get it lowered - maybe to the same as a S-Line which is 10mm less than I have at the moment I believe.

Doesn't have to be coilovers - they're a bit too expensive. just dampers and springs will do! (Unless you really tempt me!)

If it were my decision I'd go for KW coilovers. Good ride quality, well built, warranty, and adjustable height if you do decide you want to lower the car slightly.

Probably not much more expensive than a set of springs and dampers
