    Title speaks for itself.

My mechanic is graduated engineer already and now has big improvement imagination, so he decided to have little improvised game with my beloved toy.
Once The car was up on the lift, he started to measure things under and he end up with this piece of art.

The whole idea was to prevent wishbones moving forward whilst accelerate and moving backward whilst stopping.
Surprisingly, there was improvement in cornering (steering feels very tight), very good improvement while changing gears too.
I launch the car (1st-2nd-3rd gear) and the acceleration was with more grip to the ground than ever before.
I can say that You can feel the tightness under your legs pretty well, Gives you reliability.

I took few pictures under for showcase. Looks very nice to me. It's very close to Dogbone, yes.
That's not major, it's all alright. Other measures were taken for improvement and more tightness.
    Nothing finished yet, just begins.
New bolts were putted (5mm longer) than the OEM ones.

After was all finished, Later that night I took the car on an amazing Mountain Road, on whom I go almost every night.
The fun ended before it began. Long story-short.....
I hit a big rock (fallen out in the middle of the road) which gets stuck under the car for about 30 meters maybe more, hit the Crankcase almost break it and twisted the strut on the right side :frown new:

Btw: More Custom Struts are about to be Produced for me in the upcoming future, my car is the prototype.
Everyone who wants to give it a try, don't hesitate to contact me for more info.

If my English is incomprehensible for someone, i'm sorry.

    Thank you! :s3addict:

If you plan to 'offer' these (or anything else for that matter) to members of ASN you will need to request setting up a group buy in the Group Buy section from the Admin team or become a site sponsor and get your own section....

Please do not 'offer' them without permission on the main sections...

Looks like it hits the dogbone mount.... would imagine you get more movement from the bushes than those mount points tbh... I assume you have changed the suspension arm bushes?

    Thank you

No, i didn't but i plan to in the future.
It's about finger and a half away from the dogbone. No problem at all to this moment.
You can feel the difference once you put it and get in the car for a test drive.

I didn't try to 'offer' anything to anyone, i just wanted to share what i did and what i plan to do with my car in the future.
If there's any interest in the future i would definitely do what you say!
Please, don't put my Thread in the trash or suspected section. I'm sorry, if my thought sounded like so.

    Thank you!

What material did you have it laser/water jet cut from? Looks decent, and nice to hear you have "felt" an actual improvement on the road also.
    nice work dude

Am I losing my mind or does the S3 already have a brace across the subframe mounts?
Hang on, that's at the rear isn't it?

What does the V6 TT have?

Yes, it does. My mechanic decide isn't enough. And that's why new measures were taken for more custom work under, as i already said in my first post.
    No that's front subframe.
The one we put Crosswise is hang On Wishbones, preventing them to move backwards whilst STOPPING and move forward whilst ACCELERATE.

As far i know the material that's been made of is Sheet of Black Iron.
Current width 5mm we have to reduce it a little to prevent future contact with dogbone.
Not the strongest, but does the work to that moment. It is in its test period.

I'm afraid to say yes, dunno. A3 has different wishbones with little improvement would probably fit.

OMP and other's make same type of braces for mk2+mk3 golf's

Well, after long time of period waiting myself to force start the BT Build...(The car was waiting 2 months and half for work to Start ON.)
Last Thursday all it started officialy, everything we need is there and New Custom Braces as I promise are there too and ready!

    Ignore the rusted Subframe mule.
These 2 beautiful pieces are going to be putted ON my Baby.
No worries for DogBone at all, is like 2 fingers away! As Tuffty asked earlier.

    Cheers!
