cts location,pd115

anyone know where the cts is on my 2000 ajm tdi pd115?For a while now it the temp gauge doesn't get much above 60,today I swapped the thermostat and the gauge stil doesn't seem to be lfting much.Am now thinking that maybe the cts is at fault,so would like to swap that.

think I may have found it,would it be located near the lower rad hose connection?
Also,is a genuine audi one the one to get,or will a motor factors one be ok?

CTS is usually on the back of the cylinder head.

The one in the lower rad hose is the fan switch.

Buy genuine.

thanks mate,any idea where to look?I should have a spare on my breaker so will try that one first.

Follow the top radiator hose towards the engine. It will typically go to a plastic elbow which attaches to the engine, and the sensor is situated inside that elbow.

it'll be under/on the plastic pipe housing on the back of the head nearest the baulkhead.
