Hi,

Noticed an issue with my car were if I accelerate hard (high revs) and try going into 3rd gear it crunches. If I drive low revs I don't get this issue.

I was told it could probably be my synchro forks which will cost me between £1000-1500 to fix (and possible a new clutch).

I searched the forum and noticed a lot of people mentioning fitting a Dogbone which could fix this issue.

Anyone any ideas or recommendations what to do?

Cheers

Other thread is a seperate issue (and mainly does in 1st to 2nd but not "only")

Kept this thread relating to the dogbone

I would say synchro also had it on a mk4 golf V5 years ago learned to live with it for 2 years was fine.
Mine was changing down into 1st when slowing Down so just never done that and just put clutch in and rolled to a stop.
All guess work here really get it to a gearbox specialist see what they say.
