Cruise control

Hi
Could someone possibly help me. I own a A4 Avant and want to add cruise control so I have purchased and installed the cruise control stick (part no 8K0953502BK). I have then tried to code it but VCDS keeps coming up with the message, coding rejected error 22: conditions are not not correct or request sequence error I don’t know where I am going wrong?

Did you try to code the car with the engine running? Can only code some modules with the engine off.

Your steering slip ring might not support cruise. More info on part numbers here.
