So i know there has already been a thread on this, but my question is somewhat different.

I've purchased the stalk and loom for my B5 but ive been informed my a 'helpful' mate that the stalk is wrong, the part number i have been sold is 8LO 953 513 J. My mate thinks this is for the A3 as they have flat pins and mine should have round pins. So long story short the guy who sold it to me swears blind it came off a working A4 B5.

Can someone clarify this, as i dont fancy starting the work to find out my mate is right.

From what info I can find about that part number is it should fit A4 B5, A3 8L, A2 8Z and A6 C5.

It is a Zero (0) after the 'L', not a letter O.

hmm...

A3, A2 and A6 have a seperate headlight switch.

So the same stalk cannot fit a B5, where the headlight switch is on the stalk...
