Discovered the other night that if I press the clutch whilst cruise is active it doesn't disengage and goes back to maintaining the same speed when the clutch is released.
On other cars that I have had with cruise, touching either brake or clutch causes cruise control to disengage, so I was wondering if this is normal for an A6?
As far as I can tell the clutch pedal switch is working as I can hear/see the revs change at idle when the clutch is pressed.

Don't know if it is normal but my a6 is the same

It's so that you can shift gears whilst maintaining cruise.

If the system was triggered by the clutch and the clutch switch was faulty the system wouldn't activate

Thanks both for your replies.
I thought it must be working ok as it didn't over rev when I pressed the clutch, but it's just different to the 2 VWs and the Skoda that I've had with cruise.
