Cruise Control fitting question

Hi all,

Looking into fitting cruise control to my 1.9tdi quattro B6. Will fitting the hardware without plugging it into VCDS cause a problem?

The reason I ask is I was thinking of fitting the control module and switch on my drive but then will need to drive to someone who can re-program via VCDS.

Should be fine but not work as the ECU will not be looking for it as you would not have programmed it yet.

Ok thanks, I understand it wouldn't work, just checking the car would still work until I can get it plugged in.

It will all work fine as that is what I did DIS stalk.

You'll no doubt have ABS/ESP and air bag warnings so drive safely!

as above you will have some warnings
