Crankshaft Sensor / Engine Speed Sensor

I suspect I need a new Crankshaft Sensor (or Engine Speed Sensor) as I'm getting hot start issues and a jerk when I ease off the gas, part no. 06A906433L.

With something like this should I go genuine VAG or are any of the 'OEM' ones (e.g. Febi) up to the job?

Get one from the stealers as I got one from eBay once and it packed up within a weeks. Never tried one from euro car parts or GSF ?
