Crankshaft oil seal

Hi,does anyone know info regarding the crankshaft oil seal on my 3.0 quattro cabrio? Went to have two new front tyres fitted and noticed a pool of oil.Went to the garage,got the car on the pit and the bad news and ching,ching,deep pocket time. Can't get it into garage until after newyear so have been given spare oil to top up!

Front oil seal?

Timing chain on these the same as the 3.2?
If not then it's prob a cambelt change job too due to oil contamination etc

It's prob a front off job so quite labour intensive for a relitivly small part
