Hi just changed the Crankcase Breather Valve on 1.8T as had very high pressure when trying to undo the oil lid on tick over . it's fine now pressured back to normal and I can undo the oil lid no problem on tick over 
was just wondering when the valve was faulty can it cause an oil leak as I've had quite a bad one was just wondering whether it will blow the oil out somewhere under such high pressure.
