Hey folks. It seems I've knackered my new clutch switch which came today, by installing it wrong!!
Is there a method to doing this???? I keep reading conflicting things on the tinterweb!
I've ordered ANOTHER new switch so I'd like to get the installation of the 2nd new clutch switch right this time lol.
Are these made of f#####g chocolate or what!!!!!!

You should press the clutch pedal install the switch and turn it clockwise, it won't go the whole way with the clutch pressed.
You then release the clutch slowly while you turn the rest of the quarter turn it needs to be in place.

Thanks mate. Should I disconnect the battery before unplugging the old one and plugging the new one in?

Nah.. No need to disconnect the battery..
Just release the clutch pedal slowly.

And it does look like it. But I bought mine from audi for just under 20.

All done and finally have working Cruise control. I'm a happy boy.
Took 5 mins to change the switch again and it worked straight away.
Thanks for your help SemedoB6.
