I have a 2001 A4 Avant Quattro that I love, but one of the quirks that can ruin the driving experience for me is the way that it senses that I'm cornering "too fast", and I get the three loud "BEEP" alarm. I live in San Francisco, and the alarm never goes off here, but twice a week I drive up to a small town on the coast, via a very twisty road that trips the alarm constantly -- sometimes every 30 seconds or so; tight S-curves seem to set it off the most readily. On a drive that's 45 minutes each way, that gets old mighty quickly. It's like having an elderly aunt in the back seat who keeps screaming "Slow down! You're going to kill us!"

Does anyone know how to disable it, or where the speaker is, or even what this "feature" is called?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I don’t even know if there is supposed to be a g force sensor, the U.K. cars certainly don’t have one.
