MKV2VOB as well, but doesnt that convert it to DVD format??

Nah, on the advanced settings tab. there's 2 dropdowns. one is dvd, mpeg, xvid and few other types of encoding. the other is what file extension. so you have .avi quicktime .mpg4 etc
