Connects2 wire help please

Hi , i have just purchased the connects2 Aux kit for my A3 1.6tdi 2011 with a chorus 3 ctvadx002..
I know the black lead is to ground on the HU but not sure were the red comes in as the instalation just shows plug and plug and a ground ...Can anyone help .Thanks

From what I can remember, black = ground as you know, yellow = perm live, red = switched live but looking at the website of the ctvadx002 kit, I can't see a loose red, just black and black striped

I assume yours doesn't switch off when you take the key out?

I've just tried to connect to it from the couch and it can't/won't as the head unit isn't 'live' so I guess it doesn't really matter...

FWIW I got a professional to fit it for me when he wired up some rear speakers I installed.

Got my new kit delivered, works perfectly, switches off with the key

I'm happy, need to trim plastic on fascia to get it fish tho
