Connect services on A3 e-tron (pre face lift)

    I recently purchased a 2015 A3 e-tron and can’t connect to Audi connect services. For some reason the SIM card isn’t being read. Whether it’s software or hardware I’m not sure. Is there any chance that firmware has become obsolete and the SIM card tray has been switched off. I’ve tried several sims that should work and tried turning on the data module but it doesn’t help. Anyone experienced a similar problem?

    Audi's App and online experience has been an absolute cluster f**k since I bought my car a couple of years ago. Best to try and contact the online help service digitalsupport.uk@audi.de. But they are more than useless don't hold any hope the app is very unreliable and what is available is limited, the app won't even show you the MPG of the car ! I have fought with with them endlessly because the economy of the car is based on the ability to pre-condition it to save EV range ....

    My car with is a 2017 FL car has an embedded sim but I also have the MMI High, i'm not sure about Pre FL cars

    I’m more just at the point where I’m trying to work out why it isn’t working. Is the hardware faulty regarding the sim tray or will a software update fix it. When I spoke to digital support they say everything is fine so it’s probably the sim tray. Then the Audi dealer is guessing it could be software.
